Ate here super hung over and nauseous. Still took down the whole tri-tip sandwich. Worth the hype. Get: Tri-tip Sandwich - so good still finished it even when hungover, half asleep, and nauseous. Salad - gigantic, and the few bites i had were good.

Great ABC burger. Fun sports-bar atmosphere. 8+ screens. The onion rings were too greasy and heavily breaded for my tastes. Lots of outdoor seating. Loud, as implied by the sports-bar tag. Lots of college people, if that's what you're looking for.

BEST trip tip sandwiches ever! I never had anything else and I don't care. The sandwiches are pretty big so they are shareable size. Or you can always just save the other half for later. The first time I was here I really enjoyed the fries with it but the second time I came here they were soggy which was pretty disappointing. The onion rings are nice and crispy. Don't forget to ask for the chipotle mayo. It's great with the sandwich and the fries/onion rings.

The tri-tip sandwich is the best I have ever tasted. Get the tri-tip sandwich and a side of fries (the bucket is huge) and a soda or beer and you're in heaven. The bun is buttery goodness and the tri tip is oh so tasty. Gawd...I am drooling now thinking of it.

The tri tip sandwich is the best! The meat is so soft and tender. The BBQ sauce is so yummy. The southwestern salad actually has a good amount of chicken on it. Which is surprising because most places don't give much meat. The burger here was even tasty. I will be back here next time I visit SLO!!

Great tri tip sando within the city of SLO. Tourist trap in the middle of downtown with a pretty rampant inside environment of order calls, music outside, and chatter. Fries are amazing as well. Staff is not the friendliest at all. Stingy on ranch and BBQ requests at all times and make customers feel uncomfortable if they ask for more. All in all, good place to catch a game for some $5 beers, an amazing tri tip sandwich or burger, and above average French fries.

Love the Firebird. My husband always order the tri-tip. Lines looks very long but you don't have to wait long. Now they also have waiters tho I have yet to use their service yet.

As a dedicated carnivore, I know good meat. Firestone serves excellent meat. Their half chicken is nothing less than perfection. I would eat here literally every single day of my life if I could, but that would get mighty expensive. But go here seriously because they have really good food and you will probably die of happiness

That BBQ sauce, first of all, is pretty amazing and totally makes the Tri Tip sandwich. The trip tip sandwich though is very good. I don't feel it's that dry and it's packed with meat. Definitely worth a try. In eating in the restaurant, I was able to sneak a peek at their burgers. Didn't even know they made burgers there. Can't wait to go back and try the burger. It looked amazing.
